Meet The Tempster. a cage mounted toy filled with easy to shred toy parts, which we initially created in the hope of enticing Pepita, a rescue Severe Macaw into discovering the pleasure of toys.

It is a great preening toy for Budgies, Cockatiels, Ringnecks and similar sized parrots but it is also a great option for those bigger beaks that may need coaxing into play or have beaks that are not at full strength due to age or special needs.

Toy base available without Steel Fixings as these are reusable.

Approx Dimensions -  15cm x 15cm x 30mm

Materials - Kiln Dried Pine, Balsa, Crinkle, Birdie Bangles, Paper Rope, Veg Tanned Leather and Stainless Steel Cage Mount set.

Suitable for - All,  but the bigger the beak the quicker it will be demolished. Not ideal for the inside of small cages.

Chewability - Highly shreddable elements and if your parrot doesn't destroy the pine base then you can always refill it.

"Here is Pepita, a little rescue Severe Macaw, who we have just taken in to our hearts and our home.  Her foster carers rescued her from a nicotine polluted environment where she was feed an inappropriate diet of nobby's nuts and not much else and lived in a cage barren of toys on boring dowel rod perches.  Her foster parents told us that she has been wary of toys but this tempting little paper rope and leather number seems to have caught her attention.  This is great because every minute she tugs at this toy is a minute that she is not tugging at her emerging chest and back feathers.  We are nebulising her and giving her regular spray baths to help her with her feather growth and she is off to the vet for a check up and blood tests next week.  She is a very loving little bird and all she asks of us is that love is returned, which of course it is, in heaps!"

Mini Birds - Budgies, Lovebirds, Parrotlets and similar sized birds.
